A fall hike at Hemlock Draw, a nature preserve and bird sanctuary in Sauk County, WI inspired this print. A side trail led to these towering Hemlock Trees with their airy fir branches filtering the golden light above the outcroppings.
Our guide stressed that undergrowth in forests threatens the Hemlocks and Oaks because adolescent trees struggle to get enough light.
